Studio Policies
The ground rules for booking and shooting here. Read them before you book.
Cancellations
Studio rentals can be cancelled for a full refund up to 24 hours before your booked start time. Cancellations made within 24 hours are non-refundable but convert to studio credit valid for 90 days. To cancel, reply to your confirmation SMS or email, or call (516) 802-9958. Event space bookings require 14 days notice for a full deposit refund; inside 14 days the deposit transfers to a new date. Production package deposits are non-refundable but transferable to a rescheduled date with 7 days notice.
Cleaning Fees
A 15-minute strike window is included with every shooting set booking (1 hour for the event space). Return all gear to its cart, strike your backdrops, and clear personal items before your time ends. If the set requires excessive cleanup beyond the included window — including tape residue, spills, or unreturned gear — a $75 cleaning fee will be charged to the card on file. Normal use and backdrop swaps are never charged.
Damage
You are responsible for any damage to studio gear, backdrops, or property that occurs during your booking, assessed at replacement or repair cost. Minor wear is expected and never charged. Significant damage — broken gear, torn seamless paper beyond normal use, stained backdrops, or damaged walls — will be invoiced within 48 hours with an itemized breakdown. Treat all equipment as if it's yours; if something breaks accidentally, tell the studio manager immediately so we can swap it, not bill you.
Overtime
Overtime is billed at $20 per 30 minutes per set, prorated in 15-minute increments. To extend, ask the on-site studio manager before your booked time ends — extensions are granted only if the next slot is open. If you run over without notice and the next booking is delayed, the overtime rate doubles and you may be liable for the impacted booking. Plan your shoot to end on time; the 15-minute strike window is not billable overtime.
Guests
Each set includes a set headcount: 8 people on the photo/video studio, 4 on-mic in the podcast studio, and 80 standing / 40 seated in the event space. Additional crew or guests on the shooting sets are $15 per person. The event space capacity is a hard fire-code limit — no exceptions. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Let us know your headcount when you book so we can configure the set and seating.
Props & Equipment
Core lighting, backdrops, grip, and audio gear are included with every set — see each set page for the full included list. Cinema camera bodies (Sony FX3), specialty lenses, podcast mic packages, and an in-house photographer or engineer are available as add-ons at checkout. You're welcome to bring your own camera, props, and wardrobe. All personal equipment must be removed during your strike window. The studio is not liable for personal gear left on-site.
Prohibited Items
No open food or drinks on set or near gear — sealed drinks are fine in the lounge and green room. No glitter, confetti, sand, water-based effects, fog or haze machines, candles, or open flames without prior approval. No smoking or vaping anywhere in the building. No animals other than documented service animals. No adhesives directly on walls or floors — use the provided stands and tape-safe surfaces. If you're unsure about a prop or effect, ask before you book.
